Congratulation Mrs. Gulla
Congratulations to Assumption School Teacher
Karen Gulla
Winner of the Catholic Holy Family Society
Teacher Legacy Award
Assumption School is proud to announce that Karen Gulla, 5th grade homeroom teacher and Middle School Language Arts teacher, is the recipient of the Teacher Legacy Award from Catholic Holy Family Society. This program was designed to recognize kindergarten through eighth grade Catholic school teachers in a diocesan school district. Catholic Holy Family recognizes the value of Catholic Education and realizes that Catholic school teachers serve as Christian models to their students. Therefore they feel very strongly that these individuals should be recognized for their dedication to the classroom. The recipient of the Teacher Legacy Program, Karen Gulla, received an engraved brass bell, $200 for the classroom and a $100 gift certificate.
Mrs. Gulla was nominated by Kelly Conway, a parent whose three children attend Assumption School.
“Mrs. Gulla is the most conscientious, caring teacher I have ever come in contact with. She truly wants each of her students to thrive in the classroom and love learning. I have heard graduates come back to Assumption and tell her how much more prepared they are in Language Arts and Writing then their new classmates.
She goes above and beyond her obligations when it comes to keeping the parents in the loop and providing them with feedback on their child’s performance. She understands what it’s like to be a parent and she does whatever she can to alleviate fears or concerns. She is always available if you feel you need to meet with her. She is always willing to come in early or stay late to accommodate a parent’s schedule.
Mrs. Gulla demonstrates Christian values and incorporates them into each and every school day. I’m thankful my children benefit from Mrs. Gulla.”
